Snowy Night Alphabet Match

It’s time for a freebie!!  This one features a beautiful background with cute snowman and matching snowflakes.  Seems fitting for this time of the year!!

This game is Snowy Night Alphabet Match.  For this file folder game (ffg), the snowflakes with the slower case letters are matched to the snowmen with the upper case letters.  As the child becomes more proficient with matching them, you could use a timer to see how quickly they can make their matches.

Here’s a thumbnail view of of the game….

Winter Freebie Printables

I’m sorry that I haven’t posted since the new year.  I’ve just been crazy busy getting ready for a big event in my life and I’ve had so much to make sure was ready for my family and my group.  But I’m back for tonight and I’m not just going to share one, but several!!

First up is Winter Kids 3-Part Cards.  These are sort of like a puzzle where you match the number word, the number of snowflakes, and the numeral.  These cards can be found here.  In this folder, you can find Snowflake Shapes.  They’re a set of 2-part cards to match the shape and shape word.  There’s also a storage envelope included.

I also have 2 sets of mirror cards.  The kids will hold a mirror up along the dotted line to finish the image.  This teaches symmetry.  They are Signs of Winter and Winter Fun.  I also have a checkers game that I call Snowball and it’s played just like regular checkers is, but it has a fun winter theme.

There’s Snow Fun Magnified which can be found here.  They will use a magnifying glass to identify the miniature images, then place the full size image of that miniature in the box.  6 Coins Winter Fun can be found in this folder.  This is a set of puzzle cards where the kids add the amount of 6 coins, and then match it to the puzzle card with that amount.

That’s it for now, but that’s a lot of fun and games for the kids on these cold winter days.  That is, unless you’re warm for this time of year!!  I hope that you and the kids enjoy them.  I’m not sure when I’ll be back with more printable freebies.  I expect I’ll be away for a week, but if all goes well, maybe sooner.

New Year …. New Direction

I want to wish all my readers, followers, and those who use my printables, a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  I hope that you have a blessed 2012.

With a new year comes new directions and some changes.  This is so true for me!!  It’s also true for my blog and the things that I create.  I will still continue to create and share my educational and Christian printables, but I’m adding to my portfolio.  I’m going to start to create printables for the home, party supplies, gifts, and items like those.  I feel that it’s time for my to broaden my horizons.  I don’t think that any of you will be disappointed by what I share and I think it will bring in a wider range of viewers to my blog.

My first new offering for the new year is a set of checkbook cover art.  This is a set of 4 different ones.  The checkbook cover art are inserted inside the clear plastic covers.  I’ve had one of these covers for years and my insert if wearing out and I’ve often wanted to change it out.  I measured them for the clear cover that I have, but some might vary slightly in size even though they’re pretty standard in size.  In that instance, I’d just trim off the borders to help them fit better.
