Mayflower Scramble

Here’s a brand new Thanksgiving activity!!  This one is for Language Arts/English skills.

For this activity, the user will unscramble the letters on the sails of the Mayflower.  All words will be CVCC or CCVC and a clue is given on each boat.  As they unscramble the words, they can record their answers on the worksheet.  This printable also includes an answer key.

Thanksgiving Harvest Calendar Set

Hot off the presses is a calendar set of November.  It has a Thanksgiving harvest theme and features some really adorable clipart.

This set includes dates for 1-31 with extras like “holiday”, “Thanksgiving”, “no school”, and more.  There’s also years from 2012-17 so that it can be used well into the future.  The month is not just for November, as I also made one for October.  I just had to do that since I have so many online friends in Canada and they celebrate their Thanksgiving in October.

In addition, there’s a set of “yesterday was”, “today is”, and “tomorrow will be” strips.  The calendar days fit perfectly on these….and the whole set should fit nicely on your bulletin board or pocket chart.

Here’s a thumbnail view of parts of the calendar set….

Chocolate Chip Cookies

No, this isn’t a recipe, although baking some does sound awfully good!!  It’s just too hot to spend that much time in the kitchen though.  So, we’ll just have to settle for a couple of free printables!!

The first is a counting mat.  A cookie with a number is placed on the mat in the space provided, then that many chocolate chips are counted out and placed on the cookie.  The second item is a set of 2-part puzzle cards.  The numeral on the cookie jar will be match to that number of chocolate chips on the cookie.

Both of these activities are for counting 0 to 25.

Frustration

So I’ve been working most of this week on just ONE game.  I have the thought in my head, but I just can’t get it put on paper.  I’m so frustrated.  I don’t know why I can’t get it to work.  I don’t usually have this problem.  I might struggle for ideas, but once I have them, they usually work out.  I feel like I’m starting to beat my head against the wall.

Worst of all, it was for Easter and I’m obviously not going to get it completed now.  Also, that left me without much to share with you all this week.  I do apologize and hope that I can get something new out soon.  Perhaps my game that I’m working on will just have to wait until next Easter!!

UGH!!

Easter Egg Alphabet Match

PHEW!!  A little hectic today, but I still managed to get something created.  It’s a little basic, but should still prove useful to many of my readers.

This is a set of cards that feature an adorable bunny and chick with their Easter eggs.  The upper case letter is matched to it’s lower case letter.  They could also be used as flashcards, to make words, or other things.  I also created a storage box to keep them in so that no cards get lost!!

Fill the Wagon with Easter Eggs

I’m finally back and have a new freebie to share!!  Sorry that I was away longer than expected, but it took me awhile to get back in full swing again.  I do hope that you enjoyed the printables that I scheduled to post while I was away.  I still haven’t fixed that typo, but I will this weekend and I’ll post when I do so that you can update your file if you want.

For today, I have an Easter themed counting mat.  This one is Fill the Wagon with Easter Eggs and is for counting 1-15.  The numeral is placed in the box to complete the sentence of “Fill the wagon with __ Easter eggs”, and then that number of eggs is placed in the wagon.

I do plan on making more Easter printables this weekend so that they can be used all next week in school or at home.  Be sure to stay tune!!

Kiss Me I’m Lucky Party Pack

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

I created a party pack to help everyone with their St. Patrick’s Day parties and celebrations.  If you haven’t found what you needed in the store, or planned a last minute get-together, hopefully you’ll find what you need here!!  I broke everything down by topic, so you can find just what you need….or you can get it all.

In the “goody bags & gift boxes”, there’s a large gift bag and a gable box.  Print 2 of each and assemble.

You’ll find salt & pepper boxes, a french fry box, a hamburger box, and a hot dog container in the “food” pack.  There’s also a popcorn box that you’ll need to print 2 of, then assemble.

For “party supplies”, you’ll find napkin rings, a silverware pocket, and a banner.  There’s also a party hat and glasses.

There are Chapstick boxes and a sucker package “for the kids & goody bags”, as well as a boomerang and tri-boomerang.  You can also find a door hanger and mini-bookmarks.  Finally, there is a crayon box for 8 crayons and a pencil box.

Lucky Leprechaun Counting

Here’s another freebie printable for St. Patrick’s Day.  It’s also probably the last since it’s the day before the green holiday, but hopefully some of you can still use them…..or save it until next year!!

This is Lucky Leprechaun Counting and is a set of 3-part counting cards.  The lucky horseshoes are counted and matched to the numeral on the leprechauns hat and the number word on the pot of gold.  They are for numbers 0-25.
